Robert Peterson: Art After Hours


ARTSOK Inc. presents artist Robert Peterson as part of the Art After Hours Series. The exhibit runs Jan. 4- Feb. 2, 2019, in the gallery of The Museum Broken Arrow. Opening night reception is Jan. 4 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The event and exhibit are free and open to the public.

Currently living and working in Lawton, OK, Robert Peterson (b.1981) is a self-taught artist. His spontaneous realistic portraits have been exhibited and sold in galleries in NYC, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, Oklahoma City, Venice Beach and Lawton, OK. Peterson's highly sought after work has been collected by celebrities such as hip-hop mogul Sean Diddy Combs, Swizz Beatz, James Cruz, Fabolous; as well as athletes like Carlos Boozer, Amare Stoudemire, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and Derrell Revis. In January 2017, Robert made Oklahoma history by becoming the first African American to ever receive the artist of the year award in Southwest Oklahoma for not only his amazing works of art, but also his passion for philanthropy and art education.
